CADRA 20 Released

SofTech is pleased to provide you with this CADRA Release. This release upgrades the Windows user interface, adds support for the Unicode text using the Text Input and Edit dialog and upgrades the support for AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This document will briefly review the new features and changes to CADRA. A summary of the installation process is also included toward the end of the document. The enhancements include:

Enhancements/Features:

• Redesign of the Figure List Dialog
• Added a new Find and Replace Function for text
• Enhanced PDF Plot to output text as text
• Added a new Save Settings check box to the Text Input Window
• Added escape key function to cancel the current operation and selection
• Enhanced the AutoCAD translator to handle OLE objects
• Enhanced the AutoCAD translator to output UNICODE text
• Enhanced the AutoCAD translator in CADRAViewCheck to explode entities on input.
• Support for AutoCAD 2010 and SolidWorks 2010 SP4

All users must get a new license to run CADRA 19.
Note: CADRA 19 does not support Windows 2000.

Upgrade

There are two ways to upgrade:

1. Use the Online Form to upgrade.
2. Or the License Upgrade Request Form, this form must be filed out and faxed to our license department. Once we receive your host id’s we will ship you your new Product Authorization Licenses and the CADRA CD.

PLM for Your CADRA Desktop

The ProductCenter CADRA Integrator is your conduit for ProductCenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) on your CADRA desktop. Link these two powerful applications from SofTech to enhance your product design efforts and improve collaboration across your extended enterprise. The ProductCenter CADRA Integrator provides support for release management of all CADRA files types, including drawings, compressed zip files, IGES files, and more. Its attribute mapping mechanism allows extraction of CADRA file information and application of this data to ProductCenter form attributes when the files are stored, enabling you to search for CADRA files stored in ProductCenter based on attribute values, without having to open the file in memory. ProductCenter also allows linking between your CADRA drawings and supporting documents for easier location and better control of these items as well.
