SofTech has extensive experience implementing ProductCenter throughout product development groups. SofTech has had the opportunity to work on several projects that extend the use of the ProductCenter “Bill of Information” (BOI) out through Field Service. This presentation will demonstrate how ProductCenter can address requirements that are critical to working with your extended enterprise.
By leveraging the “field service view” of the ProductCenter BOI, your maintenance and customer support personnel can package any and all technical documents related to service orders including packing lists, Bills of Materials, service contracts and drawings used for maintaining products. Field service reports and maintenance documents can also be brought into ProductCenter, thereby allowing managers and engineers to obtain information on products and make critical decisions to address product development issues sooner in the process.
Topics Include:
- Repair Order Management Example
- Easy Data extraction for offline field service personnel
- Watermarking critical documents required in the field
- Automatic addition and linking of critical field service information
- Field service BOI Reporting
